- Rename settings/gnome.nix to settings/desktop.nix (file no longer
has anything to do with GNOME)
- Replace nautilus with nemo — starts fast, has a hamburger menu,
no Tracker3/Mutter D-Bus dependencies
- Exclude thunar (pulled in by XFCE) via environment.xfce.excludePackages
- Remove nautilus Tracker dconf workaround (no longer needed)
- Update $mod+E keybind and common.nix import accordingly

Outside GNOME, Tracker3 isn't running. Nautilus connects to it at
startup for recursive search, hitting a D-Bus timeout and causing
~4s launch delay. Setting recursive-search=never prevents the attempt.

qt.platformTheme conflicted with stylix's qt5ct setting after
removing GNOME. Stylix handles Qt theming so the block is redundant.

Remove GNOME DE (gnome-keyring, tracker, extensions, shell dconf
settings) and replace with a lightweight XFCE fallback session so
ly offers an alternative if Hyprland fails after an update. Add
nautilus explicitly as a standalone package. Eliminates the keyring
unlock prompt that appeared in Nautilus on Hyprland sessions.

Updates stylix.cursor and the three places that hardcode the cursor
name as env vars / hyprctl arg / XCURSOR_PATH so they stay aligned.

The deprecation warning suggested "adwaita" but 25.11's qt module
doesn't accept that value yet — only gnome/gtk2/kde/lxqt/qt5ct.

Plain gtk.gtk{3,4}.extraCss is silently dropped once stylix owns the
theme — stylix prints an evaluation warning and writes nothing. Move
the headerbar-shrink customisations to stylix.targets.gtk.extraCss so
they actually apply.
Also switch qt.platformTheme from the deprecated "gnome" to "adwaita".

Stylix's gnome HM target writes the same desktop.background picture-uri.
Conflict resolved by letting stylix own it.

Flips stylix.autoEnable on so every supported target picks up colours
from the wallpaper-derived base16 palette, and tears out the per-app
matugen plumbing it replaces:
- fred.nix: drop the matugen config.toml block and the .keep files;
move btop and ghostty to programs.* with the colour-bearing options
removed (stylix owns those).
- gnome.nix: remove the matugen and jq packages, the hand-written
gtk.css home.file overrides (replaced by gtk.gtk{3,4}.extraCss layered
on top of stylix's theme), the WallpaperShell user-themes override,
and the gtk-theme/cursor-theme/accent-color dconf entries that stylix
now writes.
- stylix.nix: add a home.activation hook that recolours Adwaita folder
SVGs using stylix.colors.base0D and pulls in Papirus mimetypes —
same outcome as the old matugen post-hook but driven by stylix.
- common.nix: drop the matugen invocation from the `update` alias.
Leftover matugen-only behaviour intentionally dropped: Vesktop CSS,
the GNOME accent hue-mapping, the VSCodium colour-merge (stylix's
vscode target handles that natively). Templates in templates/ are kept
on disk for now; can be removed in a follow-up.

Share the wallpaper symlink across all hosts by moving it from gnome.nix
into home-manager/fred.nix, and add matugen templates for btop and the
Homepage dashboard.
The Homepage NixOS module writes custom.css into /etc (read-only), so
bind-mount /var/lib/homepage-custom-css/custom.css over it. A systemd
path unit restarts homepage-dashboard whenever matugen rewrites the
file, so regeneration works without sudo.

Create gtk3-colors.css matugen template and import it in GTK3
gtk.css so apps like Vesktop get wallpaper-based headerbar colors.

Override Zen's source variables (--zen-branding-dark,
--zen-main-browser-background) instead of just derived ones, since
Zen re-computes derived colors from sources. Add sidebar-pane and
top-bar backdrop rules for Nautilus split-header layout.

Generates a custom GNOME Shell CSS for the top bar, quick
settings, and notifications using wallpaper palette colors.
Uses the User Themes extension to load it.

- Zen browser: generates userChrome.css with palette colors
- VSCodium: merges workbench.colorCustomizations into settings.json
- GNOME: maps palette hue to closest accent color preset
- Add jq to GNOME packages for JSON merging

Copies Papirus-Dark mimetype icons into WallpaperAdwaita for
distinctive file type icons (json, python, markdown, etc.)
while keeping the wallpaper-colored folder icons from Adwaita.
Also fixes recolor script to process all place icons, not just
folders (fixes Desktop icon), and improves color mapping.

MoreWaita was overriding the colored Adwaita folder icons with
monochrome symbolic ones. Added adwaita-icon-theme-legacy for
extra coverage of older icon names.

- Matugen templates for Ghostty theme and GTK4 colors
- Ghostty uses generated wallpaper theme instead of Catppuccin
- GTK4 CSS imports generated color overrides
- Update alias runs matugen after switch to regenerate colors
- Add wallpaper fish function to change wallpaper + regen colors

adw-gtk3-dark makes GTK3 apps match libadwaita dark styling.
matugen generates Material You color schemes from wallpaper.

Merge home-manager GNOME settings (dconf, keybinds, GTK CSS, wallpaper)
from gnome-hm.nix into settings/gnome.nix so the entire DE config lives
in one file and can be toggled with a single import.

The nix-flatpak flake module was removed (no declarative packages) but
the flatpak service itself is still needed for Bazaar/manual installs.
